On March 16, 2016, Minnesota Continuing Legal Education presented How to Start and Build Your Own Law Practice – And Do It Right! Leonard Segal once again served as the Course Chair for this terrific CLE program that was designed to help both experienced and new attorneys who are starting, or thinking about starting, their own law practice. Attendees received practical, real-world tips and ideas regarding starting a law practice.
Lenny Segal, Scott Seiler and Jon Schindel each presented a session during the program. Lenny served as moderator for “Challenges in Starting Your Firm and How to Overcome Them,” which consisted of a panel of lawyers who have started their own practice. This session, which is always a big hit, provided attendees with a great opportunity to ask questions and to learn from peers who have “been there” and know what it takes to start and run a law firm.
Jon Schindel and Scott Seiler again teamed up to present “Selecting a Business Entity for Your Firm.” There are many options for structuring a new firm, and Scott and Jon helped attendees analyze the various considerations when making this important decision.
