Leonard Segal Presented Three Sessions at the 2015 Upper Midwest Employment Law Institute

The 2015 Upper Midwest Employment Law Institute, co-sponsored by Minnesota CLE, the Minnesota State Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law Section, and the Twin Cities Human Resource Association, was held on May 18 & 19, 2015.  Once again, Lenny Segal was there presenting on timely employment law topics.

This year, Lenny conducted three sessions.  Lenny’s first session, entitled “Workplace Investigation Basics From Start to Finish,” provided step-by-step guidance on conducting workplace investigations.  Lenny’s second session, entitled “The FMLA – Basic Law and Practice,” helped attendees who were new to the federal Family and Medical Leave Act (or who simply wanted a refresher) understand how the FMLA works, including eligibility, coverage and leave requirements.  Finally, Lenny and two other experienced attorneys led a terrific “Open Forum on FMLA,” which provided those in attendance an opportunity to ask more complex, real world, questions about the FMLA – which they did!

This year’s Upper Midwest Employment Law Institute was, once again, a wonderful program.  Attendees left with tremendous materials and additional knowledge that they could implement right away.  For further information about the program, please click this link: 2015 Upper Midwest Employment Law Institute.

We hope you were able to attend this year’s Upper Midwest Employment Law Institute and were able to stop by our booth to say “hello” to Lenny and Segal Duffek Moen attorney Tina Vincelli!  If not, please plan to join us in 2016!
